Who created the original Uncle Sam I Want You image?
The artwork is credited to James Montgomery Flagg, whose name is printed in the art alongside Leslie-Judge Co. The design shows Uncle Sam pointing at the viewer and was used for the U.S. Army recruitment appeal. Our reproduction preserves that lettering and the painterly navy, red and white palette.
