Questions about this print

Why is Sengoku no longer Fleet Admiral?

Sengoku stepped down as Fleet Admiral after the Marineford war, choosing to retire from active leadership. He objected to the direction the World Government was taking and was succeeded by Akainu after Akainu defeated Aokiji in a duel. Sengoku remained as an Inspector General, mentoring recruits rather than leading operations.

Is Fleet Admiral Sengoku stronger than Admirals?

Yes, as Fleet Admiral, Sengoku ranked above the three Admirals in authority. His Buddha Devil Fruit powers allowed him to confront Blackbeard at Marineford. That demonstrates his ability as a fighter, but his higher command rank alone does not prove he is stronger than every Admiral.

Why did Sengoku age so much?

The main One Piece timeline advances two years after Marineford, so Sengoku appears older in later arcs. Having retired from front-line duty, he is shown in a calmer role as Inspector General. His greyed hair and relaxed presence reflect a veteran who has stepped back from command.

Is Fleet Admiral Sengoku evil?

No, Sengoku is not evil; he is a principled Marine who follows justice while questioning the World Government's harsher choices. Known as Sengoku the Buddha, he showed mercy and honour on several occasions. His disagreements with the government's methods pushed him toward retirement.
