Questions about this print

What is Kizaru's famous line?

Kizaru is known for casually asking "Which is faster, light or me?" as he attacks. The offhand delivery contrasts with his devastating Glint-Glint Fruit powers. It captures his laid-back menace, letting foes underestimate his speed until light-fast strikes land, reflecting the Admiral's detached manner in combat.

Is Kizaru based off of Adam Sandler?

No. Kizaru's design is based on Japanese actor Kunie Tanaka. Eiichiro Oda confirmed the connection in the SBS question-and-answer section of One Piece volume 57. In the same answer, he confirmed actor inspirations for the other two original Admirals, Aokiji and Akainu.

Is Kizaru the weakest Admiral?

No, Kizaru is not the weakest Admiral, and no clear ranking exists among the three original Admirals. His Glint-Glint Fruit grants light-speed movement and attacks, making him one of the fastest characters in the series. Any perceived weakness comes from his reluctant, unhurried fighting style rather than raw power.

Why is Kizaru so nonchalant?

Kizaru's relaxed speech and light-based attacks can make him seem detached, but that does not mean he feels nothing. In chapter 1124, he breaks down while speaking to Sakazuki about killing his friend Vegapunk. The scene shows a conflict between his duties and personal attachments.
